Stanmore Support ENGIE at their rowing challenge which raises £2,050!

Proud to have supported ENGIE in their rowing challenge which helped them raise an amazing £2,050 & STILL going! The teams successfully rowed over 55km which was the equivalent of rowing to their site in Marsh Farm to Luton Tollgate in Kilburn, London – a big well done from us all at Stanmore.

Across their region they have 33 female employees so this would mean, from, National Statistics, 4 of these women could be affected by Breast Cancer in their lifetime. Breast cancer does not only affect women, it can occur in men too. There are approximately 1970 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in men each year, and sadly approximately 390 men die each year from the disease.

The money raised will go to the fantastic CoppaFeel in aid of Breast Cancer awareness and research. They are the first UK Breast Cancer Charity to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim to install a new healthy habit that could one day save a life. They are on a mission to stamp out late detection of Breast Cancer and they want to educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer; encourage them to get to know what is normal for them and empower young people to have the confidence to see a doctor if they notice anything that isn’t right for them.
